Founder, Managing Partner
Anton Polikarpov is an intellectual property lawyer with over 20 years in the legal field and more than 15 years focused on IP. He is the founder of BrandR and advises businesses on trademarks, designs and other intangible assets in the European Union and beyond.

His practice centres on EUIPO procedures — from filing applications to handling oppositions, appeals and provisional refusals — as well as licensing, assignments and other IP contracts. Anton combines legal expertise with a practical, business-oriented view of how brands are created, scaled and protected in real life.

Anton is an attorney-at-law and a certified patent attorney in Ukraine, and a WIPO arbitrator in domain name disputes under the UDRP. He also teaches intellectual property law at university level and regularly speaks at professional events, sharing his experience with lawyers, founders and in-house teams.
Experience

Over the years, Anton has worked with companies from different sectors, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, FMCG, technology and creative industries. Most of his current work is focused on:

• EU trademark and design filings
• Responses to EUIPO provisional refusals
• Oppositions and appeals before EUIPO
• IP contracts (licensing, assignments, coexistence, NDAs)
• IP due diligence for deals, expansion into new markets and brand launches

His approach is straightforward: clear risk assessment, transparent communication and practical recommendations that help businesses make confident decisions about their brands and intellectual assets.
